Immerse yourself in Japanese culture on November 3 at the annual Japanese Festival presented by the Miami Friends of the Japanese Garden. Scholarship recipients of the Greater Miami Convnetion & Visitors Bureau's (GMCVB) Black Hospitality Initiative (BHI) had the unique opportunity to attend an American Airlines team meeting, where they engaged with staff on careers in aviation and hospitality. Invited by JC Liscano, GMCVB Board Member and Vice President of Miami Operations for American Airlines, the students gained valuable insights into the inner workings of the airline’s operations. GMCVB leadership, including Connie Kinnard, Senior Vice President, and Dr. Graylyn Swilley Woods, Director of the Black Hospitality Initiative, were also present to support and guide the students during this enriching experience.
