Hello everyone:

I wanted to take this week’s edition of What’s Happening to reflect on an event that has called Miami Beach home for 19 years. Throughout the year of course there are dozens upon dozens of events, trade shows and festivals that have become interrelated with our brand as a destination and help define our unique value proposition. Be it major sporting events, food, music, culture, art, heritage, literary, lifestyle, recreation or others – these events not only define us – they align us.

The American Black Film Festival (ABFF) is one such event.  As we speak, thousands of projected attendees are participating both at the core home venue – the Miami Beach Convention Center, programming at the adjacent New World Center and a number of other sites...
