Miami Beach Live

Message From the President & CEO

I want to dedicate my remarks this week to spotlighting a new and important initiative underway in partnership with the City of Miami Beach, the Miami Beach VCA and all of our industry partners.  Regardless of your specific locale or community, we all recognize the value and opportunities of our region’s traditional Spring Break.

The City of Miami Beach has made a major commitment to help package their programming in a comprehensive initiative – Miami Beach Live! – a month-long celebration featuring a variety of exciting activations and live events designed to engage all five senses. Every Friday - Sunday throughout the month of March, Miami Beach Live! will host an exciting and diverse lineup of programming in and around Lummus Park and the beachfront areas from 10th to 13th streets. A variety of thematic weekend programming will take place including Dance, Pop, International and Symphonic/Broadway – across an array of music, arts, culture and culinary offerings. Every weekend features a Friday night movie, Saturday evening headlining concert, and a Sunday dine-around spotlighting Miami Beach’s best-in-class culinary offerings and prix fixe menus.

Our Marketing and Communications Teams are working closely with the City of Miami Beach to engage and align insight-driven campaign strategies with business goals. In addition to a robust media plan including a customized Spotify playlist, e-newsletters, radio spots, blogs, search and social media, high-impact placements will also be launched. These are all built to intrigue and attract the target audience to Miami Beach. This effort is supported by the new MiamiBeachLive! website. We are also working with several local and global publications reaching local Hispanic and African American audiences, as well as LGBTQ+ market segments. The GMCVB is also promoting Miami Beach Live! via a paid social media campaign utilizing influencers, and will be looking to do promotions in-market for trip giveaways and provide on-site social (IG Live) and photography support at all MB Live events.

In addition to our exciting  Miami Beach Live! lineup, there are dozens of major events and activities happening throughout the destination in March. From Calle Ocho's Carnaval Miami, Jazz in the Garden, the Miami Open Presented by Itau to the Winter Party Festival, there is so much for our visitors to experience and enjoy this March. Click here for our comprehensive calendar of events. To purchase tickets for Miami Beach Live!, click here.

Thank you always for your support,
David Whitaker
