GMCVB Launches Safety Campaign to Promote the Importance of Facial Masks and Vacation Responsibly Messaging

To bring awareness to the importance of mask use while enjoying the destination, the GMCVB has launched 'Stay Safe Wrap Your Face, Vacation Responsibly,' a creative marketing campaign designed to educate visitors on the use of masks to prevent the spread of the COVID-19 virus. The concept of the campaign is to prioritize COVID safety by stressing to visitors that to vacation responsibly, you must wear protection.

Marketing efforts will include social media, paid out-of-home, and digital media advertising as well as the creation of coasters and posters distributed to local restaurants and bars that showcase the campaign slogan and a toolkit will be made available to community stakeholders and influencers. The digital and social media components of the campaign launched on April 1st, and additional advertising and promotion will be seen throughout April and May.

The campaign adds to a list of strategic efforts by the GMCVB to help guide the safe return of business and ensure Greater Miami’s tourism industry is best positioned to recover as quickly as possible. The campaign is part of the GMCVB’s broader safety messaging, including the Greater Miami Destination Pledge being implemented at several tourism touch points throughout the community. For more information on the GMCVB’s safety initiatives, visit the GMCVB's Travel Guidelines.

Earlier this week, Miami's movers, shakers and burger makers 🍔 gathered at the iconic @thebathclub Miami Beach for the first ever "Burger Bath." The event teased #SOBEWFF's 20th anniversary and served as a bit of an unofficial kick-off to next month's festivities. One big takeaway from @sobewffest founder Lee Shrager about this year's festival is the emphasis on gathering safely & enjoying responsibly. Learn more at SobeWFF.org!
