MIA Receives Millions in Second CARES Act Grant
 
Miami International Airport was awarded $39.5 million in COVID-19 relief funding from the Federal Aviation Administration. These funds will be used by MIA to maintain its role as Miami-Dade County’s leading economic engine. Click here for more information.
 
 
 
 
Miami-Dade Mayor, Daniella Levine Cava Brings Shore Power to PortMiami
 
Miami-Dade Mayor, Daniella Levine Cava signed a joint statement with six leading cruise companies and Florida Power and Light to bring shore power to PortMiami. Convention Sales Welcomes Championship Fight
 
The Convention Sales Team, in partnership with the JW Marriott Miami, has secured the “bubble style” room block for the Canelo Alvarez vs. Avni Yildirim fight including their production crew for February 27. Hard Rock Stadium, host venue expects to host 15,000 socially distanced fans.

The Convention Sales Team hosted its sixth monthly virtual FAM Webinar on February 17. Planners heard updates from the W Miami, Four Seasons Hotel Miami, and Faena Hotel Miami Beach. Clients appreciate the monthly webinars as a way of staying connected to what’s happening in Greater Miami.
