WHO SHINES BRIGHTEST IN MIAMI

The Greater Miami Convention & Visitors Bureau (GMCVB) is proud to name Lee Brian Schrager as the GMCVB’s first “Who Shines Brightest in Miami” recognition as part of the MIAMI SHINES tourism recovery program.  Schrager has raised thousands of dollars by hosting the “Putting on the LBS Bake Sale” from his home, while giving local food businesses a platform during these challenging times. Proceeds from the bake sales benefit the SOBEWFF® & FIU Chaplin School Hospitality Industry Relief Fund which provides immediate financial support to independently owned and operated restaurants and bars impacted by the COVID-19 pandemic in Miami-Dade, Broward, and Palm Beach counties. To date, the Fund has raised more than $1.6 million and has already granted nearly $1.5 million to more than 500 local restaurants in South Florida. For more information about the Fund, to donate, or to apply for a relief grant, please click here. Congratulations to Lee Brian Schrager for being a shining example of Miami’s best in the community.  If you know someone who is shining by going above and beyond during this time to give back to the local community, then you may nominate them at media@gmcvb.com.
