| During 2019, international passenger arrivals at Miami International Airport (MIA) increased by +2.1% compared to the previous year. Domestic passengers increased by +1.5% compared to the same period in 2018, contributing to total passenger arrivals with an increase of +1.8%. |

The event provides the opportunity for consumers to explore vacation options represented by top destinations, tour operators and travel suppliers from around the world while meeting one-to-one with travel journalists and travel experts to help find, personalize and book vacation trips on-site. | Entrepreneurial Small Business Training Available in North Miami |
| |
| The Miami Bayside Foundation is accepting applications for its spring Entrepreneurial Small Business Training starting March 24 at the Sunkist Grove Community Center in North Miami. The free 10-day workshop is designed to help small businesses sharpen their entrepreneurial skills in order to grow and become sustainable. The training is facilitated by industry professionals with a guided business-oriented syllabus to help entrepreneurs successfully thrive. At the end of the training, businesses can participate in a business pitch presentation to lenders for funding opportunities. The Miami Bayside Foundation Small Business training is supported by various partners including the GMCVB’s Tourism Business Enhancement Initiative. Application deadline is February 14. | GMCVB will conduct sales calls in the Chicago, IL USA area next week, February 10-13, to over 10 key accounts including NHS Global, AON, Twin Bridge Capital Partners and William Blair to name a few. Chicago has always been a strong market for meetings and conventions so it's important to visit the windy city a few times a year to keep Greater Miami and Beaches top of mind. The Team will also attend the Meeting Professionals International (MPI) Chicago Chapter NEXT event held on Wednesday, February 12 to continue promoting our destination to over one hundred Meeting Planners expected to attend. |
