During the annual meeting, members will decide on the research agenda for the coming year as well as listen to featured speakers including Florida Governor Ron DeSantis, VISIT FLORIDA’s President & CEO Dana Young and more.

‘Tis the season to be #onLincoln! On Friday, November 29, Lincoln Road, Miami’s premier al fresco shopping, dining, and entertainment destination, kicked off the holiday season with its annual Christmas Tree Lighting Ceremony. Coinciding with the traditional post-Thanksgiving holiday Black Friday, the Tree Lighting Ceremony featured festive, family-friendly activities including ornament making workshops, Christmas caroling, and the lighting of Lincoln Road’s 30-foot Mountain Pine. Those hoping to snap an “Instagrammable” selfie with Santa this year will be in luck as he’s trading in his sleigh for a cabana - in true Miami Beach fashion. Santa’s Cabana will take temporary residence on the Road from November 29 through December 25, 2019. This event is free and open to the public and is made possible by the Lincoln Road Business Improvement District.

Come January 2020, the Found In Miami messaging will be expanded to include the GMCVB’s new “Miami Land” outdoor adventurers campaign. Visitors don’t always see Greater Miami as a vacation destination for outdoor and adventurous activities. To change this perception, the campaign will highlight Miami’s unexpected nature experiences through high-impact videos, imagery, and digital experiences. 

GMCVB Communications Team in partnership with VISIT FLORIDA will be hosting a group of media from Mexico December 1-3. During their visit, participants will experience the destination’s unique neighborhoods, including Coconut Grove, Little Havana, Downtown Miami and South Beach. Media participants include: El Souvenir, National Geographic, Food and Travel magazine, Estilo DF and Publimetro.
